OUR MISSION

Born out of a careful study of the needs of the technology sector in Syria, Nahda Tech is an initiative aimed at bolstering the technical and soft skills of workers and entrepreneurs in the tech sector in Syria through facilitating bootcamps, networking and training opportunities aimed at capacity-building and upskilling the local workforce, encouraging innovation entrepreneurship and connecting technology professionals.

  • This bootcamp has been designed for individuals with foundational knowledge of computer engineering, computer science, or media and telecommunications. It aims to provide participants with valuable technical training in key applications and skills that are relevant to entering the job market in the tech sector, or to establishing new companies and initiatives in this area.

  • This conference is a collective voluntary initiative envisioned by a team of Syrians around the world. The core team includes Amjad Kassem, CEO of Technivision with decades of experience working in the Syrian and Turkish tech sector; Oubai Alabbasi, Software Engineering Leader who worked with various startups, including Careem, Noon, and BeyondONE; Dr. Nour Halabi, Assistant Professor with decades of experience researching Syrian media and telecommunications; and Raed Saqer, CTO of Hudhud, an online e-commerce platform.
